Moonstar, On the Wrong Side of the Lake.

Moonstar walked around the lake until he reached the Thunderclan side. He walked boldly towards the forest, but stopped when he heard a rustling in the brambles. He stopped and stared, seeing only a squirrel jumped out. He sat down, feeling that it might be safer to wait there for awhile. He was still extremely nervous.

^{The sun danced on the lake, throwing sparks into a pretty golden cat's amber eyes. Blinking, she padded into some shade, and opened her mouth to breathe in the scent of prey. Squirrel, Vole, RiverClan.. RiverClan? she thought to herself. That was odd. Amber eyes searched around until she found a new shape. "Moonstar? What brings you to ThunderClan's side of the lake? Is there bad news?"}

Moonstar had been staring off into space, wondering what Shadowclan and Windclan were plotting. But he was quickly distracted from this by another cats voice. He immidiately knew who it was. "Ah, just the cat I wanted to see." oonstar said, looking into the beatiful amber eyes. He realized Sunstar really was a beautiful cat. But there was not time for that. He thought for a moment of how to word what he wanted to say, then said "Sunstar, you must've noticed how strangely Gloomstar and Thornstar were acting at the Gathering? You know, they were nodding at each other, as if secretly conversing. And then you were blown back by the wind...." he broke off for a moment. He had never thought about it, but could the wind mean that Windclan would attack Thunderclan. He blurted out these thought without thinking, saying "I think Windclan might attack your clan, and perhaps Shadowclan could be with them.... and they might attack my clan..."

<sup>Frowning, the small leader tilted her head, contemplating this. "As much a s we hope otherwise... it is a possibility... WindClan might strike first." The wise leader mewed. Looking at Moonstar, she fully appreciated him. The moon reflecting off of his silver pelt... his muscular body..

Moonstar sighed. He paused for a moment, then said "Well, Sunstar, just know that Riverclan will not hesitate to help Thunderclan, should they attack you. It is necessary to keep all the allies you can in times of war." They were silent for a few moments, then Moonstar said "Well, I plan to tavel to the Moonpool tomorrow. Would you like to come as well?"

"And note that ThunderClan will not waste a moment's passage before dashing to aid our friends in RiverClan." The ginger leader mewed. "I think it would be wise to travel to the Moonpool, I shall accompany you. Where shall we meet?" For some odd reason, Sunstar had to fight back the overwhelming compulsion to bat her blue eyes romantically.}

((You said she had amber eyes! XD))

Moonstar nodded and asked "I suppose this spot would be acceptable. Would you mind if I came her again tomorrow. After all, you don't want your shores to start smelling like Riverclan."

Smiling, Sunstar mewed, "This spot will be fine. You meeting me here would also be no problem, after all, the scent of RiverClan is so... nice"</sup>

Moonstar nodded to what Sunstar was saying, but suddenly froze when he heard the last thing Sunstar said. "You meeting me here would also be no problem, after all, the scent of RiverClan is so... nice" Moonstar blushed, but it was of course impossible to see, through all of Moonstar's fur. He thanked Starclan for that, and said, stuttering nervously for a reason he did not know, "W-well then, s-s-s- see you t-tomorrow." He stood up, and rather ungracefully bounded off towards Riverclan territory......

The next day.......

Moonstar walked silently to the spot that he had met Sunstar the day before. At such a dim reason to speak to Starclan, and the chance that his clan could be attacked while he was gone, he thought he would've been scared. but he was strangely... excited about the trip.... about being alone with the beautiful Sunstar....

^{Sunstar frowned at Moonstar's reaction to her statement. Did I say something wrong? She thought to herself, wildly upset. Shaking her pelt, she nodded to Moonstar's last sentence, before watching him leave with sad, golden eyes. Eventually, she trudged back to her own Clan, leaving the memory of the embarressing day behind.

Sunstar padded back to where she had met Moonstar. She liked the tom, and was eager to talk to StarClan. The ancient cats had always calmed her, and now she needed them more than ever before in her life.}
